TSFMD is currently looking for qualified candidates in the following positions:
Reserve EMT
Reserve CEP
Reserve Firefighter/EMT
Reserve Firefighter/CEP
Seasonal Wildland Positions
Reserve EMT Roles and Responsibilities:
- Job duties include but are not limited to: Responds to emergency scenes to provide emergency medical care and transportation
- Responds to hospitals, nursing homes and other locations to provide non-emergency medical care and transportation.
- Provides medical care and monitoring at the scene, enroute to the hospital and during transportation to, from and/or between facilities
- Must possess a high degree of personal integrity and responsibility.
Reserve EMT Qualifications:
- NREMT Basic certification.
- Currently certified in CPR, Basic First Aid, and BLS by the AHA or other appropriate organization.
- Currently licensed with the appropriate level of state motor vehicle operator’s license.
- Must pass background check and drug screen.
- Must provide a three year driving record.
- Must have the ability to stand, sit, and be moving for long periods of time.
- Must be able to pass a department issued fitness test.
Reserve CEP Roles and Responsibilities:
- Respond to emergency scenes to provide advanced emergency medical care and transportation.
- Provides medical care and monitoring at the scene, enroute to the hospital and during transportation to, from and/or between facilities.
- Must possess a high degree of personal integrity and responsibility.
Reserve CEP Qualifications:
- NREMT Paramedic Certification
- Currently certified in CPR, Basic First Aid, and BLS by the AHA or other appropriate organization.
- Currently licenses with the appropriate level of state motor vehicles operator’s license.
- Must pass a background check and drug screen.
- Must provide a three year driving record.
- Must have the ability to stand, sit, and be moving for long periods of time.
- Must be able to pass a department issued fitness test.
Reserve Firefighter/EMT Roles and Responsibilities:
All previously listed roles and responsibilities for the reserve EMT, along with the following:
- Under general supervision of the Fire Captain or other assigned fire officer, provide fire suppression, basic emergency medical care, and other emergency services to the citizens of the Taylor-Snowflake Fire Dept response area and other surrounding communities.
- Performs operator-level inspections, servicing, fueling, and maintenance of assigned tools and vehicles.
- Conducts inspections of Commercial, Residential, and industrial facilities for fire hazards and regulatory compliance.
Reserve Firefighter/EMT qualifications:
- Fire Fighter I&II
- Hazmat Basic
- NREMT Certification
- Currently certified in CPR, Basic First Aid, and BLS by the AHA or other appropraite organization.
- Currently licensed with the appropriate level of state motor vehicle operator’s license.
- Must pass a background check and drug screen.
- Must provide a three year driving record.
